Miley's not the only "Wrecking Ball"

Did you know that only about 50% of women cleanse their faces at night?  And of those 50%, only 30% are cleansing properly.  Taking two minutes a night to thoroughly cleanse your face can take YEARS off of your appearance over the course of a lifetime.  Cleansing your skin isn’t just for adolescents with acne anymore.  Although not cleansing can lead to clogged pores, nightly cleansing can also be a huge part of the anti-aging equation.

Think about all the elements your skin faces during the day: dirt, makeup, exhaust fumes, sweat and bacteria.  Those environmental pollutants accumulate every day on your pillow and are being absorbed during your skin’s most crucial recovery period.  It’s like taking a wrecking ball to your skin’s building blocks! Skin cell regeneration almost doubles at night between peak hours of 11pm and 4am.  Production of collagen is boosted, harmful free radicals are destroyed, and cell damage is most effectively repaired.  Your skin has a tough 24/7 job so why make it harder?  Each time you don’t cleanse before hitting the pillow, you are potentially aging yourself 3 extra days.  Three extra days over the course of your life equals a lot more wrinkles than you care to have later.  So whether you’re a free spirited 20-something, an exhausted mother of three, or a busy business owner…do yourself a favor and cleanse your skin at night.  Your future, younger looking self, will thank you for it.
